DECISION OF THE MINISTER OF ENERGY AND MINERAL RESOURCES OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA NO. 244.K/MB.01/MEM. B/2025 (KEPMEN ESDM 244/2025) REGARDING REFERENCE PRICES FOR METALLIC MINERALS AND COAL FOR THE SECOND HALF OF JULY 2025
SUMMARY:
- ESDM Ministerial Decree 244/2025 was issued to implement Article 6 paragraph (6) and Article 8 paragraph (6) of ESDM Ministerial Regulation No. 7 of 2017 concerning Procedures for Determining Reference Prices for the Sale of Metal Minerals and Coal, as last amended by Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Regulation No. 11 of 2020, and refers to Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Regulation No. 72.K/MB.01/MEM.B/2025 on Guidelines for Determining Reference Prices for the Sale of Metal Minerals and Coal.
- ESDM Ministerial Decree No. 244/2025 regulates the Technical Provisions and Procedures for the Application of HMA and HBA as the basis for calculating the Reference Price for Metal Minerals (HPM) and the Reference Price for Coal (HPB).
- ESDM Ministerial Decree No. 244/2025 sets the Reference Metal Mineral Price, hereinafter referred to as HMA, for the Second Period of July 2025 as follows:
- The Nickel Metal Price is set at USD 14,926/dmt.
- The price of cobalt metal is set at USD 32,896/dmt.
- The price of lead metal is set at USD 2,009.27/dmt.
- The price of zinc metal is set at USD 2,696.83/dmt.
- The price of aluminum is set at USD 2,577.40/dmt.
- Copper is priced at USD 9,952.53/dmt.
- Gold as a by-product mineral is priced at USD 3,326.36/Troy Ounce.
- Silver as a by-product mineral is priced at USD 36.34/Troy Ounce.
- The price of Tin Ingots (Pb 300, Pb 200, Pb 100, Pb 050, and 4NINE) is not specified as a fixed figure but refers to the Settlement Price published on the ICDX and JFX exchanges on the day of sale, in accordance with the specifications of each product
- Manganese is set at USD 3.18/dmt, based on the average price in Asian Metal
- Laterite/Hematite/Magnetite Iron Ore is set at USD 1.35/dmt, based on Fe content and the average price in Asian Metal
- Chromium Ore is set at USD 6.37/dmt, based on Cr content and the average Asian Metal price
- Titanium Concentrate is set at USD 10.87/dmt, based on TiO2 content and the average Asian Metal price
- Setting the Reference Coal Price, hereinafter referred to as HBA, for the Second Period of July 2025 with the following amounts:
- Coal (6,322 GAR): USD 97.65/Ton
- Coal I (5,300 GAR): USD 75.94/Ton
- Coal II (4,100 GAR): USD 48.35/Ton
- Coal III (3,400 GAR): USD 36.00/Ton
- The HMA for the Second Period of July 2025 is used as the basis for calculating the Reference Price for Metal Minerals, hereinafter referred to as HPM for the Second Period of July 2025.
- The Coal Reference Price (HBA) for the Second Period of July 2025 is used as the basis for calculating the Coal Reference Price (HPB) for the Second Period of July 2025.
OTHER PROVISIONS:
- This Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Regulation No. 244/2025 takes effect on July 15, 2025.
- This ESDM Ministerial Decree No. 244/2025 was issued on July 14, 2025.
